Fountain Pen DURHAM - Consett

Once Consett was called the red city because of the dust from the steelworks. A yellow orange glow was often seen when the slag was dumped on the hill side. There were furnaces and rolling mills, a noisy place blasting out smoke and fire. The Consett iron works was world renowned, now it only exists in memories.

The series is about interesting places in Durham, more will be soon added.

Handmade model with flush brass ring and brass inserts, length varies based on what I can get out of the material, is just 138 mm long and made from 8 parts. The diameter is ~15.3mm. Made without CA glues, joined with threading, and finished only with Renaissance Wax.

The ring is about 10mm.
This is a turn cap model.

I call them desk pens because of the absence of a clip, and the cap does not go on the post.
